#6 ranked CHCA Boys Cross Country team secured their spot at the OHSAA State Championships with a strong third-place finish at the Division 2 Region 8 meet held at Troy High School on Saturday. Despite facing challenges, the team persevered and earned their second consecutive State Championship berth.

Leading the way for CHCA was individual Region Champion Nate Gockerman, who clocked a time of 15:42 over the 5K course. Joining him in the top 10 and earning All-Region honors were Wyatt Gockerman (7th) and Jagger Dollenmeyer (10th). Trevor Kuhlman (24th) and Andrew Sandefur (59th) rounded out the scoring for the Eagles.

This marks the second consecutive year that the CHCA Boys XC team has qualified for the State Championships, and only the second time in school history. Additionally, Nate Gockerman is the first individual from CHCA to win an OHSAA Regional meet.

The team will compete at the State Championships this Saturday, November 2nd, 12p at Fortress-Obetz Park in Obetz, Ohio.
