The CHCA boys and girls cross country teams continued their impressive 2025 campaigns this past Saturday at the OHSAA Troy Regional, hosted by Troy High School.
The Boys Cross Country team has cemented its place in school history, capturing its first-ever OHSAA Regional Championship and extending its impressive win streak to four consecutive victories.
The championship performance was highlighted by a record-setting performance from Nate Gockerman, who won his second consecutive individual regional title. N. Gockerman crossed the line in 15:16. to set a new Regional course record.
Demonstrating exceptional team depth, the Eagles placed three runners in the top five. Jagger Dollemeyer (3rd place) and Wyatt Gockerman (5th place) earned All-Region honors for finishing within the top 20 competitors.
Rounding out the scoring and securing the historic victory for the Eagles were Aidan Murphy (23rd) and Andrew Lott (43rd). The team now advances to the State meet.

Connor punches ticket to state
Addison Connor made history on Saturday afternoon as she punched her ticket to the OHSAA State XC Championships. Connor's 24th-place finish helped lead the Lady Eagles to a 9th-place team finish. Following closely behind was Hailey Myers, who placed 28th. Abiageal Grogan, Jillian Wolfe and Maria Bernal-Viana closed out the scoring for the Lady Eagles.
Connor becomes the first Lady Eagle to qualify for the OHSAA State Cross Country meet since 2021.
