CHCA Dominates at State Track Meet: Gockerman Wins 3200m Title, Boys Take 12th Overall

Nate Gockerman (Sophomore) is the new D2 State 3200m champion, demonstrating a masterful performance at the Columbus meet. Gockerman crossed the finish line in a blazing 9:15.04, pulling away from Fairless' Brice Fuller (9:16.78) in a thrilling final 400 meters.

His teammate, Jagger Dollenmeyer (Junior), also delivered a standout race, securing 7th place with a personal record of 9:22.98, surpassing the previous school record of 9:26.

Additional Boys' State Qualifiers and Records

Curtis Rempe (Senior) concluded his exceptional CHCA career with a strong 6th-place finish in the Pole Vault, clearing 14'6". Rempe leaves as one of the most accomplished track and field athletes in CHCA history.

The 4x100m relay team, featuring John Irwin, Alex Wells, Brayden Mitchum, and Cooper Jepson, earned a 15th-place finish at State. This talented group set a new school record earlier in the season at the OHSAA Regionals in Piqua, running a blistering 42.97, the only sub-43 second time in school history.
In the 100m dash, Cooper Jepson placed 16th, clocking 10.94. He holds the distinction of being the only male athlete in school history to run under 11 seconds, a feat he achieved twice this season.

The 4x800m relay team, composed of Nate Gockerman, Trevor Kuhlman, Aidan Murphy, and Wyatt Gockerman, impressively finished 10th overall with a time of 8:11.18. They significantly outperformed their 16th-place ranking coming into the State meet.

Foust Represents Lady Eagles

On the women's side, Brilyn Foust showcased her talent for the Lady Eagles. Foust, who holds school records in the 100m, 200m, and 4x100m, finished 14th overall in the 100m with a time of 12.54, matching her second-fastest performance.
